What you will see:

Process Verification of Reflow,Wave & Selective Processes
       Presented By Keith Blakeley, Solderstar

More Than Thermal Profiling

Temperature is of course a key parameter to measure throughout the soldering process but what about all the other key parameters within the process?

Wave and Selective machines have more parameters not temperature related for example contact time.

More reflow ovens are now fitted with a vacuum chamber.

How do we profile inside the vacuum chamber?

Why do we need to profile inside the vacuum chamber?

How well is my machine maintained?

What other parameters should I be checking?

Other Measurable Parameters of the Reflow

  • Speed
  • Vibration
  • Vacuum
  • Oxygen

Other Key Parameters of the Wave and Selective Processes

  • Wave and Selective processes have much more parameters than temperature key to the
    process
  • Contact Measurements such as Contact Time with Wave, Wave Height, Conveyor
    Speed

Voiding Detection

  • Flux positioning within the Selective process
