Laura Madajewski
Principal at HLB Gross Collins, P.C.

Laura is a Principal in the Audit and Assurance department and has over 19 years of public accounting experience. She has extensive experience in managing audits and in the preparation of financial statements. Laura is the firm’s Manufacturing, Distribution & Supply Chain Practice Leader. Her clients in these industries include manufacturers and wholesale distributors of consumable and non-consumable goods, including food, textiles, apparel, computer and electronics, chemicals, plastics, commercial equipment, appliances, components, wood, paper and printing. Laura is a regular presenter and published author on various topics in her specialty service areas.

Brian Wages
Principal at Specialty Tax Group

As a Principal with Specialty Tax Group, Brian specializes in statutory tax credits and negotiated incentives. Brian has been in the tax credits and incentives industry since 2011, with prior experience at McMillian & Associates and Deloitte Tax.

Brian was brought onboard to lead the Research and Development Tax Credit vertical for STG, but also has a focus on the 179D Commercial Building Energy Efficient Tax Deduction, the 45L Energy Efficient Home Credit, the Georgia Retraining Tax Credit, the Georgia Jobs Tax Credit, the Georgia Investment Tax Credit, and the Federal Clean Energy Investment Tax Credit. Brian earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Georgia. He is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) where he earned his Certified Credits & Incentives Professional (CCIP).

Jack Sierk
CPA at Specialty Tax Group

Jack is a CPA specializing in federal and state Research & Development (R&D) tax credits, with more than five years of experience supporting manufacturing companies. Jack works directly with plant leaders, engineers, and operations teams to identify and document eligible activities—from process improvements to day‑to‑day technical problem‑solving—so manufacturers can claim the credits they’ve already earned. His focus is on making the R&D credit accessible, practical, and valuable for manufacturers of all sizes. 

John Hanning

John is STG's Fixed Assets / Cost Segregation / Accounting Methods Principal. Over the past 20 years as a Fixed Assets specialist, John is responsible for the business development efforts for fixed asset services including new client identification, proposals, and client deliverables. He has led and executed cost recovery studies on more than 8000 facilities including; healthcare, retail, manufacturing, commercial office, multi-family, distribution, power generation, and dealerships.
