2-for-1 - Special Double Tour
We will be touring two factories on the same day! We will begin with the Olympic Steel facility in Winder at 9:00 (coffee and donuts) followed by a tour of the new facility in Buford (lunch included).
Olympic Steel in Winder is comprised of nearly 300,000 sq. ft. of covered floor space. They are one of the largest suppliers in the Southeast of quality, flat sheet steel as well as formed steel and plate products.
In addition to direct sales to major OEMs and other steel users, they offer an impressive array of capabilities to service centers and other metals end users. They perform slitting, cut to length, blanking, laser processing, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, and forming. Olympic Steel also offers toll processing, storage, material handling, and delivery services to steel mills and service centers.
This facility is conveniently located on rail access and operates a fleet of company operated trucks to consistently meet delivery requirements. The Winder plant is the first division to become LEED certified, a third-party certification for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings.
