AFTERNOON TOUR

This is a rare opportunity to walk the floor with the owner and see exactly how a critical piece of the electronics supply chain is built.

Murray Plastics, home of Tayloreel, produces precision reels used to transport and protect electronic components across automated assembly lines worldwide. These reels are not optional — they are essential. If they fail, production stops.

On this tour, you’ll see how those reels are manufactured at scale — directly from the source.

What You’ll See

This is a working plant. No fluff. No presentations pretending to be a tour.

  • High-volume injection molding operations producing precision components
  • Tayloreel production lines supporting global electronics manufacturers
  • Tooling and mold systems built for repeatability and tight tolerances
  • Automation and material handling driving efficiency on the floor
  • Quality control systems required for electronics-grade performance
  • Packaging and distribution flow supporting just-in-time delivery

Led by the Owner

This tour will be led by Bill Hall, owner of Murray Plastics / Tayloreel.

You’re not getting a scripted walkthrough. You’re hearing directly from the person responsible for the operation — how it runs, what matters, and where the challenges are.

That’s where the real value is.

Why This Tour Matters

Most manufacturers never think about reels — until they don’t have them.

Tayloreel sits upstream of the electronics industry, quietly supporting production lines that demand precision, consistency, and reliability. This tour shows how a Gainesville operation plays a direct role in keeping those lines running.

If you’re in manufacturing, this gives you a better understanding of how your supply chain actually works — beyond your four walls.
