For over 35 years, Collins has provided Precision Machining, Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, Blasting, Painting, Assembly, Reverse Engineering, and Drafting to the Federal Government and businesses throughout the U.S. and abroad. 

Interesting Facts and History of Collins

  • Founded as Greene Machine & Manufacturing, Inc. in 1982 by Fred Greene.
  • Stan Greene began leading the company in 1994. Capabilities included mainly conventional work with limited CNC.
  • Gwen and Larry Collins purchased the company in January 2006. When purchased, the company had six employees and 6,500 square feet of manufacturing space. Today, the company has grown to over 100 team members and 235,000 square feet with six facilities on campus. Both are graduates of Mercer University School of Engineering located in Macon, Georgia. Under their leadership, Greene Machine is doing business as Collins Manufacturing Company. They are committed to investing in employee training and equipment to ensure Collins Manufacturing stays at the top of the class. Our current capabilities are a reflection of their commitment to excellence.

TOUR REQUIREMENTS:

Attendance is limited to 2 PEOPLE Per Company.

CLOSED-TOED/FLAT-BOTTOM SHOES AND LONG PANTS ARE MANDATORY.  No High Heels! 

PLEASE BRING YOUR SAFETY GLASSES IF YOU HAVE THEM.
